Rural Mental Health- Unique Challenges, Unique Solutions

This is the first year a conference has been held which focuses specifically on the unique challenges faced by mental health care providers in rural areas.  Conference organizers believe that rural communities must employ unique solutions to these unique challenges.

At this event, I presented tools and strategies for how community stakeholders can take charge of conflict at work and pro-manage their professional practice with each other.

Peak Conflict Solutions CEO Suzanne Marie is joining the roster of speakers at the first conference focusing on rural mental health. The Rural Mental Health Conference will focus specifically on the unique challenges faced by mental health care providers in rural areas. “Efforts for community collaboration requires the engaged parties to create space for conflict resolution at the table. Authentic collaboration, including planning for the inevitable, creates systems of security and trust, this is pivotal for stakeholders who are managing crisis situations”, says Suzanne Marie, founder, and CEO of Peak Conflict Solutions.

“My session provides attendees with the resources needed to manage discussions around conflict resolution, and create an action plan with clear objectives for strengthening community relationships”, adds Marie.

The conference takes place November 12 to 14, 2018 at Medicine Hat College, Brooks Campus.
